McCain Embraces Christian Zionist
By Jay Gary, Mar 8, 2008

Contains: 2 DVDs (NTSC), an online leader's guide, plus an e-book of the lectures
Republican presidential nominee Senator John McCain has embraced the endorsement of controversial televangelist John Hagee, the founder of Christians United for Israel and the senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. Hagee has come under criticism for his extreme views on Islam, Israel, and the Catholic Church. While media attempts to link McCain views to Hagee are efforts to balance scrutiny of Obama, they do raise larger questions about his foreign policy.

Would McCain continue Bush's policy of one-sided support to Israel? Would end-time Christian zeal for Israel end-up jeopardizing the security of America and Britain? Many see Bush's unilateral support for Israel in this light. Would McCain be any different, after Bush swanders his 2nd term capital as a Mid-East peacemaker?

Catch this DVD I produced, entitled, "Christian Zionists: on the road to Armageddon" by Dr. Stephen Sizer, an English vicar and historian. It offers a probing look at Christian Zionism among Evangelicals, a special interest group with influence on U.S. foreign policy.

Sizer challenges these fellow "true believers" to balance their zeal for Israel with the biblical quest for peace and justice in the Arab-Israeli conflict. This is a great DVD series for personal or small group study. It contains 6 twenty-two minute lectures, covering the historical roots, theological background and adverse political consequences of one-sided support for Israel. Visit website.

NOTE: To his credit, on May 22, 2008, McCain renounced Hagee for his fringe views on Jews.

NOTE: May 28, 2008: Hagee's apocalyptic hate speech against Jews, Catholics and Muslims continues to be noted. See this column by Palestinian columnist Ramsey Baroud, entitled, "US Pastor John Hagee's not-so-bright vision"
